This document outlines everything you need to get started using Triple Whale as an analytics and attribution solution for your brand.
Creating an Account (if you haven't already) 🐳
If you haven't yet logged into Triple Whale for the first time, see how it's done here.
THREE/FOUR STEPS TO GETTING STARTED 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️
Once your account is activated, you’ll find yourself on the Summary page. This provides you a high-level view of all the metrics your business runs on, and it’s probably where you’ll be spending the most time.
Note the navigation bar on your left — that’s how you toggle between features on the app.
Plus, we'll show you how to add team members to your store's dashboard.
Okay, let’s break it down.
Connecting with Facebook, Google, Klaviyo, and more couldn’t be easier. To set up your integrations, head to the Integrations tab within Settings. Follow the simple steps to connecting each, being sure to allow any permissions requested. Once that’s complete, you’ll see a progress bar for your importing data.
#2. Setting up your Expenses 💵
The next critical step in ensuring your metrics are accurate is making sure your Expenses are accurate within Triple Whale’s dashboard.
Triple Whale calculates Net Profit as Sales - Blended Ad Spend - Expenses - Refunds/Returns. So getting your Expenses input properly affects your ability to calculate your profit margins within the app.
You can input costs like Shipping, Handling, Payment Gateway costs, and other custom expenses. For more details, click here.
You’ve got a ton of data for your business, but not all of it is crucial on the daily. Pin the most important metrics to the top of your Summary page by clicking the pin symbol in the upper-right corner of any given metric tile; that way you'll have instant access to that information without having to scroll and search through each section.
You can also create custom sections with whatever metrics you’d like to focus on for your business. Additionally, you can create Custom Metrics and redefine things as you see fit.

#4. Updating Your UTMs for Triple Pixel Tracking & Attribution 🔮
The Triple Pixel provides transparency and accuracy to your ad performance so that you can optimize your media buying with confidence.
By using the right UTMs in your Ads Manager accounts, our Pixel knows each ad the customer clicked on before arriving at your store.
Facebook, Google, Klaviyo, TikTok -- each channel has a different way you'll need to set up these UTMs to unlock our Pixel's powerful tracking capabilities.

PLUS: Adding Team Members 👪
Every Triple Whale subscription comes with unlimited user accounts. Each user has a totally customizable dashboard and can access all the features within Triple Whale available for that store.
To add a new team member, click on your store name in the lower-left corner and select Invite Team Members. Enter their email, click Invite, and your team member will soon receive an email with instructions on getting connected to your store's Triple Whale dashboard.
