Your Average Order Value calculates the average amount spent each time a customer places an order from your store, and it basically comes down to dividing your Total Sales by the number of Orders within a given period of time.

Now, what Triple Whale has done is given you three different ways to look at that predictability indicator. We’ve aggregated the Mean, Median, and Mode AOVs. The Mean is the average, the Median is the center of the data set, and the Mode is the most frequent amount within that data set. You'll want to use all three AOVs to understand your customer purchase behavior.

Beyond that, you also need to know what your clients’ Mode AOV is because that is going to be the highest probability purchase value you will receive when running prospecting ads.

So a pro-level analytics team will be paying close attention to these numbers and allowing them to inform their marketing decisions.
